The faces behind this conference!
Take a look at the biographies of our lovely panel of creators. There was a lot of hard work and effort that was placed into creating this conference, and we truly appreciate the many contributions from our team.
Mizuki Giffin is a 4th year WLL Honours student and the President of the World Languages and Literatures Student Union. She is the producer and an academic associate on this year’s conference team.
Kayla Tso is a 3rd year WLL major and the VP of Operations for the World Languages and Literatures Student Union. This year, she is the event coordinator and web consultant for the conference team.
Alexandra Svoboda is a 2nd year and intended Management Information Systems major student. This is her first year on the conference team and her position is the Assistant Coordinator.
Liam Foster is a 4th year double major in English and History. He is the academic chair on this year’s conference team.
Isabella Wang is a 3rd year double major in English and World LIterature. She is an Academic Associate on the WLSC team.
Molly Mackay is a 3rd year double major in World Literature and Resource Management. This is her third year participating in the conference. This year, she is a social media coordinator and a member of the academic team!
Shalv is the Sound Artist and a Moderator for this year's conference team.
Kitty (she/her/hers) is an Interactive Arts and Technology major with a minor in World Literature. This is her third year being involved with the conference, where she has previously volunteered as a Co-Art Director and Presenter. As the 2020 Webmaster, Kitty works with Kayla to manage the conference websites.
Ksydalg Henry is a 3rd year Biological Science Major student. This is her first time participating in the WLSC. Her position for the conference team this year is an Art Director!
Yolanda Lam is a 1st year and intended Linguistics Major student. She is one of the Communications Director of the Linguistics Student Union. Her position for the WLSC conference team this year is an Art Director.
Him Yuen, 3rd year student, majoring in World Lit. Photography & Visual Handlers in the conference.
Vincent Tram is a 3rd year student, majoring in World Literature. This is his first year on the team while participating in the conference as the Technical Host.
Gemma Yelin Lee is a 4th-year student in English & Publishing. They've written over 70 articles for The Peak (SFU). They are the Director of Communications & Design for the 2020 Conference/Online Journal, and fervently believe that art is a powerful tool in activism.
Hi! My name’s Megan and I’m a second year World Literature student. I’m super excited to be part of this incredible team, and I can’t wait to see the final outcome! You can find me in the Communications and Liaison team.
Gayatri Bhagavatula is a 4th year student. She is majoring in World Literature and minoring in Political Science. She is one of the Communications Liaison for the conference. Passionate about literature, she hopes to learn more about how activism is reflected in writings of multiple genres.
Koko is in 6th year and a double minor in World Literature and Sustainable Development. It is the 2nd year she has helped with the conference. Koko is one of the Communications and Liaisons for the conference this year.
